Goyoki is a bespoke, 3D-printed handbag brand. I started this venture while completing my MBA at Ivey Business School. I wanted to create a product that would turn heads and stand out from the conventional silhouettes on the market today. I designed the bags myself in Blender 3D and coordinated with a Montreal supplier for the accessories I had sketched out; the leather bag handles and insert pouches. Boobina was our first launched product, starting with only 25 bags made from 3D-printed PLA. We expanded our product line to offer more simple, personalized handbags as well.
The brand gained traction, we developed a pre-order list with exclusive discounts and built community through the shared interest of unapologetic designs. This venture allowed me to gain a breadth of experience, from designing, to prototyping and learning about a variety of 3D printing technologies along the way. In addition, I coordinated with suppliers abroad and locally, to create a bespoke and luxury product that truly stands out in today's marketplace. I pitched Goyoki in an audition for Dragon's Den Canada and further received interest in the brand.
